Difference gel electrophoresis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003162
A technique used to compare protein samples by labeling them with different fluorescent dyes before combining and separating them on a single two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel. This allows for precise detection and quantification of differences in protein expression between samples, minimizing gel-to-gel variation. The method typically employs cyanine dyes for labeling.
