Multiplex immunoassay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007670
An immunoassay that measures many different proteins, such as cytokines, in one small sample at the same time, using a separate capture antibody for each target, commonly bound to color-coded microbeads or arranged as spots on a surface. It contrasts with a conventional ELISA, which reads one analyte per well, and bead formats can read dozens to hundreds of targets from a single sample volume.
