Hydrogen probe
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001912
A device used to detect and measure the concentration of atomic hydrogen in steel components, particularly in environments where hydrogen embrittlement is a risk. It typically consists of a sensor that responds to hydrogen diffusion through the metal wall. These probes provide an indication of the potential for hydrogen-induced cracking.
