Computed tomography

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000794

A non-destructive imaging technique that uses X-rays to create detailed cross-sectional images of a material's internal structure. In formation evaluation, it is applied to core samples to visualize porosity distribution, fluid flow paths, and rock heterogeneity. The resulting images provide three-dimensional representations of the core's internal features.
