Magnetic resonance imaging
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006909
A non-invasive medical imaging technique that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to generate detailed images of organs and soft tissues within the body. It relies on the nuclear magnetic resonance properties of hydrogen atoms, primarily in water molecules. MRI provides excellent contrast between different soft tissues.
