Spin echo
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011202
A nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) phenomenon where a transient signal is generated by refocusing the dephasing of nuclear spins. This refocusing is achieved by applying a 180° radiofrequency pulse after an initial 90° pulse. The spin echo technique is widely used in NMR spectroscopy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to measure relaxation times.
