Scaler
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010538
An electronic circuit designed to count electrical pulses, particularly those generated by radiation detectors, by reducing their frequency to a level suitable for mechanical or electronic display. This device registers the total number of events over a specific time interval. Scalers are fundamental components in nuclear counting systems, often displaying counts per second or counts per minute.
