Scaling
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010539
The process of transforming data to a common range or distribution, often to prevent variables with larger magnitudes from dominating statistical analyses. This can involve dividing by a standard deviation, subtracting a mean, or normalizing to a specific range. Common methods include autoscaling and variance scaling.
