Allometric scaling

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000429

A method used to extrapolate physiological or pharmacological parameters across different species or body sizes based on allometric relationships. This technique involves using mathematical power laws to predict how biological variables, such as metabolic rate or drug clearance, scale with body mass. It is often applied in toxicology and drug development.
