Standard deviation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011286
A measure of the dispersion or spread of a set of data points around their mean value. It quantifies the average amount of variability in a dataset, indicating how much individual data points deviate from the average. A low standard deviation suggests that data points are close to the mean, while a high standard deviation indicates a wider spread of data.
