Horwitz ratio

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005398

A metric used to compare the observed interlaboratory reproducibility standard deviation of an analytical method with the predicted standard deviation derived from the Horwitz equation. It indicates how well a method's performance aligns with the expected variability for a given analyte concentration. A Horwitz ratio close to unity suggests that the method's reproducibility is within acceptable limits for chemical analysis.
