Relative standard deviation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010163

A measure of the precision of a set of measurements, expressed as the standard deviation divided by the absolute value of the mean of the measurements. It indicates the spread of data points around the mean relative to the magnitude of the mean itself. This value is often expressed as a percentage or in parts per thousand, and is also known as the coefficient of variation.
