Standard morbidity ratio
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011298
A measure used in epidemiology to compare the observed number of cases of a specific disease in a study population to the expected number of cases. The expected number is derived from a reference population with known age-specific morbidity rates. A ratio greater than one indicates a higher incidence of the disease in the study group.
