Morbidity

The state of being diseased, or the extent of illness in a population, as opposed to mortality, which counts deaths. It covers any departure from physiological or psychological well-being, whether the person feels it or it is found on examination. Rates are commonly stated as cases per 100,000 people per year, with incidence counting new cases and prevalence counting all existing ones.
