Moore’s law
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007571
An observation that the number of transistors on an integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years, leading to a corresponding increase in computational power. In polymer lithography, this trend drives the demand for photoresist materials with ever-increasing resolution to pattern smaller and smaller features. The law is not a physical law but an empirical projection of historical trends in semiconductor manufacturing.
