Moore's Law
Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000220
An observation made by Gordon Moore in 1965, stating that the number of transistors on an integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years. This trend has driven the rapid advancement of computing power and the miniaturization of electronic devices. While the original prediction focused on cost-effectiveness, it has become a general expectation for technological progress in semiconductors.
