Horwitz equation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005397

An empirical equation that describes the relationship between the interlaboratory coefficient of variation (reproducibility relative standard deviation) and the analyte concentration in a sample. It provides an estimate of the expected variability for analytical methods across different laboratories. The equation is often used to assess the fitness for purpose of analytical methods and to set performance criteria.
