Einstein equation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003613
A relationship that connects the diffusion coefficient of a particle to its mobility and the temperature of the system. It is derived from statistical mechanics and describes the random motion of particles in a fluid or solid. For a spherical particle, the Stokes-Einstein equation is a specific form of this relationship.
