Einstein
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003612
A non-SI unit equal to one mole of photons, that is 6.022 x 10^23 photons, used in photochemistry to count the light absorbed or incident. Defining it as the energy of a mole of photons is a discouraged variant, since the energy carried by one einstein depends on wavelength. Light of 400 nm carries about 299 kJ per einstein.
