Multidimensional scaling

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007633

A statistical technique that visualizes the similarity or dissimilarity between objects in a low-dimensional space. It takes a matrix of distances or dissimilarities and produces a spatial representation where similar objects are close together and dissimilar objects are far apart. This method is often applied in cheminformatics to analyze molecular similarity.
