Similarity index

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013560

A quantitative measure of the resemblance between two objects or datasets, often used in chemometrics to compare chemical structures or spectral profiles. It assigns a numerical value indicating how alike two entities are based on their shared characteristics. A common example is the Tanimoto similarity index, which ranges from 0 (no similarity) to 1 (identical).
