Tanimoto similarity index
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011814
A metric used to quantify the similarity between two sets of data, often employed in cheminformatics to compare chemical structures based on their molecular fingerprints. It is calculated as the ratio of the number of common features to the total number of features present in either set. The index ranges from 0 (no similarity) to 1 (identical sets).
