Cluster analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002143
A statistical method used to group a set of objects in such a way that objects in the same group, or cluster, are more similar to each other than to those in other groups. This technique is applied in chemistry to identify patterns in data, such as classifying compounds based on their properties or spectra. Common algorithms include k-means and hierarchical clustering.
