Single linkage
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010890
A hierarchical clustering method where the distance between two clusters is defined as the minimum distance between any single data point in one cluster and any single data point in the other cluster. This approach tends to form long, straggly clusters, often referred to as chaining. It is one of the simplest methods for agglomerative hierarchical clustering.
