Fuzzy clustering
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004733
A method of data analysis that groups elements into clusters where an individual element can have partial membership in multiple clusters simultaneously. Instead of assigning each data point to a single, definite cluster, this technique assigns a membership grade or probability, typically between 0 and 1, for each point's association with every cluster. The sum of an element's membership grades across all clusters must equal one.
