Cluster
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012984
A group of two or more atoms or molecules held together by chemical bonds, often involving direct metal-metal bonds in the case of metal clusters. These aggregates possess a distinct geometric arrangement and exhibit properties that differ from those of the individual components. Metal clusters are frequently found in catalysts and biological systems.
