Triangulo-
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013668
A prefix used in inorganic nomenclature to denote a triangular arrangement of three identical atoms in a cluster compound. This structural motif is common in metal carbonyl clusters and other polyhedral complexes. The prefix indicates the geometry of the core atoms, such as in triangulo-triruthenium dodecacarbonyl.
