k-means clustering
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006367
An unsupervised classification algorithm that partitions a dataset into k distinct clusters, where k is a predefined number. The algorithm iteratively assigns each data point to the cluster whose centroid is closest, and then recalculates the centroids based on the new cluster assignments. The process continues until the cluster assignments no longer change or a maximum number of iterations is reached.
