Discrimination ratio
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003288
A quantitative measure of the relative difference in the uptake or processing of two different isotopes or compounds by a biological system. It expresses the ratio of the rates or amounts of the two substances. This ratio provides insight into the selectivity of biological processes, such as metabolic pathways or transport mechanisms.
