Relative isotope-ratio difference

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010146

A measure of the difference in the isotopic composition of a sample compared to a reference material, expressed as a fractional or percentage deviation. It quantifies the enrichment or depletion of a specific isotope relative to another in a given element. This value is typically reported in per mil (‰) units.
