Isotopomeric ion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006260
An ion that has the same number of each isotopic atom as another ion, but with the isotopic atoms located at different positions within the molecular structure. These ions exhibit identical nominal masses but can be distinguished by high-resolution mass spectrometry or fragmentation patterns. For example, CH2DCH2+ and CH3CHD+ are isotopomeric ions.
