External validity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004275

The extent to which the findings of a scientific study can be generalized to other populations, settings, or conditions beyond the specific context of the experiment. This concept assesses how well the results from a controlled laboratory environment or a specific test group apply to real-world situations or broader populations. High external validity indicates that the study's conclusions are broadly applicable.
