Concurrent validity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002379

A type of criterion validity that assesses how well a new measurement or test correlates with a previously established and validated measure of the same construct, administered at approximately the same time. This demonstrates the new test's ability to produce results consistent with existing, trusted methods. A correlation coefficient is often used to quantify concurrent validity.
