Condensation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002380
The physical process by which a substance transitions from its gaseous phase to its liquid phase. This occurs when a vapor is cooled below its dew point or compressed to a pressure above its saturation vapor pressure. In atmospheric chemistry, it is the primary mechanism for cloud formation and precipitation.
