Subcooled liquid vapour pressure
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011512
The vapor pressure of the liquid form of a substance at a temperature below its melting point, where the liquid is a hypothetical or metastable state of a compound that would normally be solid. It is higher than the vapor pressure of the solid at that temperature, and environmental chemists use it to model partitioning and fate of solid organic pollutants. The ratio of solid to subcooled liquid vapor pressure is the fugacity ratio, which is below 1 under the melting point.
