Fugacity coefficient

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004695

A dimensionless quantity that relates the fugacity of a component in a mixture to its partial pressure, accounting for non-ideal behavior of real gases. It is defined as the ratio of the fugacity to the partial pressure of the component. For an ideal gas, the fugacity coefficient is exactly one, indicating no deviation from ideal behavior.
