Activity coefficient at infinite dilution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000198
A thermodynamic quantity that describes the deviation of a component's behavior from ideal solution behavior when its concentration approaches zero. It reflects the interactions between a single solute molecule and the solvent molecules. This coefficient is a key parameter in predicting solubility and vapor-liquid equilibria in highly dilute systems.
