Fugacity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004694
A thermodynamic property that represents the 'effective partial pressure' of a real gas in a mixture, or a component in a solution, accounting for non-ideal behavior. It is a measure of the escaping tendency of a substance from a phase. For an ideal gas, fugacity is equal to its partial pressure.
