Hygrometer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005499

An instrument for measuring the amount of water vapor in the air or another gas, expressing the result as relative humidity, absolute humidity, or dew point. Different types operate on distinct principles, such as changes in electrical properties, condensation temperature, or the physical dimensions of a material. Common examples include the dew point hygrometer, the electrical hygrometer, and the psychrometer.
