Capacitance hygrometer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001599

An instrument that measures atmospheric humidity by detecting changes in the electrical capacitance of a dielectric material. The dielectric material absorbs water vapor, which alters its permittivity and thus its capacitance. This change is then correlated to the relative humidity or dew point of the air.
