Psychrometric hygrometer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009653
An instrument used to measure atmospheric humidity by comparing the temperatures of a dry-bulb thermometer and a wet-bulb thermometer. The wet-bulb thermometer is covered with a moist cloth, and the difference in temperature is related to the amount of water vapor in the air. This difference is used to calculate relative humidity and dew point.
