Construct validity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002475
The degree to which a test or measurement method accurately assesses the theoretical construct it is designed to evaluate. In toxicology, this involves determining if an assay for a specific type of toxicity, like neurotoxicity, truly reflects the underlying biological mechanisms. It is not a single measure but is established through a pattern of evidence, such as correlations with other related tests and differentiation from unrelated ones.
