Multistage model

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007683

A conceptual framework used in toxicology and carcinogenesis to describe the progression of a disease or adverse effect through a series of distinct, sequential steps. Each stage involves specific cellular or molecular changes that contribute to the overall development of the condition. This model is often applied to understand cancer development, involving initiation, promotion, and progression phases.
