Sequential sample
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010767
A set of units or increments drawn singly, or in successive small groups, with the measurements assessed after each draw against preset limits to decide whether to accept the lot, reject it or keep sampling. Because the stopping point depends on results already obtained, the number of observations is not fixed in advance. A plan of this kind usually carries a cap on the number of units examined, after which sampling ends automatically.
