  "definition": "A semi-interpenetrating polymer network made in two stages, where the linear or branched polymer is formed once the network is complete or, in the reverse order, the network is formed around a linear or branched polymer that already exists. In either order, the chains of the second component are threaded through the first on a molecular scale without covalent bonds between the components. The linear component could, in principle, be extracted without breaking chemical bonds, so the material is a polymer blend.",
