Semi-interpenetrating polymer network

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010730

A polymer blend composed of at least two polymers, where one polymer forms a network and the other is a linear or branched polymer that is not covalently crosslinked to the network. The linear or branched polymer is physically entangled within the network structure. These materials combine properties of both components, often exhibiting improved mechanical strength or thermal stability compared to the individual polymers.
