Hybrid polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005441
A macromolecular substance that incorporates both organic and inorganic components within its structure, often at a molecular level. This integration leads to materials with combined properties not achievable by either component alone. Examples include organic polymers with covalently bonded inorganic clusters or interpenetrating networks of organic and inorganic polymers.
