Batch emulsion polymerisation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001139
An emulsion polymerization process where all components, including monomer, initiator, surfactant, and water, are charged into the reactor at the beginning of the reaction. The polymerization then proceeds without further addition of reactants. This method is simpler to operate than semi-batch or continuous processes but can lead to broader particle size distributions.
