Interval 2 in emulsion polymerisation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005996
The stage in emulsion polymerization where the number of polymer particles remains constant, and the polymerization rate is also constant. During this interval, monomer diffuses from the remaining monomer droplets through the aqueous phase to the growing polymer particles. This phase continues until the monomer droplets are exhausted.
