Inverse emulsion polymerisation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006048
A type of emulsion polymerization where the monomer is dispersed as droplets in a continuous organic phase, and the polymerization occurs in these monomer droplets. This process is typically used for hydrophilic monomers that are soluble in water but insoluble in the organic continuous phase. The resulting polymer particles are dispersed in the organic medium.
